MAX PAYNE 3 : playable action movie

You know  that thing that movies sometimes do , where one of the characters says the movie’s title, and everyone in the theater looks at each other and groans? Max Payne 3  does something like that 14 times. After every level, the chapter title appears in the air ominously, foreshadowing some quip that Payne will grunt after killing a few hundred gangsters. “It’s drive or shoot, sister.” Or, “A fat bald guy with a bad temper.” And sure enough, you know somebody’s sister is going to be driving or shooting next to a fat bald guy with a bad temper at some point or another during the chapter. It’s fitting, given the way the game presents itself. Payne is very much amused by his own observations; his self-reflective inner monologue is almost as sarcastic as it is omnipresent. When navigating from one firefight to another, you can be sure that Payne’s voice will pick up and ramble about the sorry mess he’s found himself in, or how he sure wishes he could have a drink or ...

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY : This Ain't No Place for a Hero

The story The story of the game written by veteran batman writer and Harley quiz creator Paul dini is perhaps the most remarkable thing about the game it utilizes almost every single element of the batman mythos and still manages to tell intriguing emotional story. As good as the story is it was a bit predictable for hardcore bat fans and I have heard complaints from complaints from players it was hard to understand for them never the less the story moves you thru the gameplay and keeps you entertained the post Nolan batman movies should take note on how to tell a great batman story .I won’t spoil it but the very last scene of game is one of the best single moments in batman history Game Design The game map of Arkham city is not only very large but also very well designed. Unlike on like some other games cities were the buildings are identical and seem to be built for purpose standing on top of ( spider man games I’m looking at you!) every building is uniqu...

LIMBO : THE BLACK AND WHITE GAME FOR VIBRANT BRAINS

LIMBO:THE EDGE OF THE HELL Videogames are an art form made up of visuals, sound, and a mysterious little something we call gameplay.  Limbo  is the perfect example of these three crafts working together in harmony to create something astounding. With no text, no dialogue, and no explanation, it manages to communicate circumstance and causality to the player more simply than most games. This 2D puzzle platformer in a film noir style is one of the best games you'll play this year on any platform.  LIMBO tells the timeless tale of a boy trying to find his lost sister, only with more decapitations, brain-eating slugs, gigantic spiders and hair-trigger traps than you can shake a severed limb at. You control a young boy who wakes up in a forest with no indication of who you are, how you got there, or where you're going. You set out to explore this bizarre environment but soon find it to be a dangerous place, at which point your motivation becomes clear: ...

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Review

Exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving come together beautifully in this rewarding, replayable arcade adventure GOOD:  Slick, satisfying combat      Lush levels encourage exploration      Enticing challenges spur replayability      Clever puzzles    Great cooperative play. BAD: No online cooperative play      Throwaway plot      Keyboard controls are too imprecise. In Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, you see the titular leading lady from a whole new perspective. While the isometric camera angle shows off less of the iconic character than you may be used to, the game boasts the same engaging mix of exploration and combat that has long been the hallmark of the best games in the series. Punctuated by clever puzzles and lush visuals, each level begs to be replayed thanks to the varied and enticing challenges tha...
